The clams are smitten..

.. And falling in love!! More mermaids!! Another pre-photoshop sketch! More of me enjoying the sun in union square. In SF our summers happen in August and Sept and when that happens my brain goes to the ocean and the magical creatures of the deep.. These little clams just can't stop falling hard for this mermaid as she pets them. Cupid's arrows hit the waters a little early. 

Done with red pencil in my sketchbook. Inked over with a fine sharpie. Soon to be transferred to photoshop for color to be added.

They can make you as happy as getting lost on the internet or losing yourself in a book you just cant manage to stop reading. They are an adventure of their own and each so different and unique and special in their own ways.

The last 2 months have been filled with a whirl wind of events left and right. It took some time but I finally finished up my latest piece. Sorry it took so long to bring to life. hope it puts a smile on your face too :D Done in photoshop on Batmankoff. 

Finding Each Other..

This was done on Batmankoff in photoshop. Its part of a set. This took a little while but was worth the wait of seeing it finished. The bleeding hearts just look perfect being added to this piece. 

A little paradise in the city..

I've been walking by where the Parrots of Telegraph hill moved to recently. They aren't on Telegraph hill anymore. They are now located on the top of Vallejo street in San Francisco. When I lived in that area I could hear them all the time. They used to wake me with their songs in the mornings. Somewhere along the line this was inspired and I started painting it.  Here are two little birds of paradise caught finding each other in the trees..

This was done on Batmankoff using photoshop. I've been painting alot of birds lately and it seems to be turning into a theme.. for now. Enjoy

Love Indeed!!

These birds were inspired from a photograph on a community page I follow. Animal Story via facebook. I was looking at all of the photos and one caught my eye and I thought to create my own artistic variation of the picture. So here are two little Japanese White Eyes through my eyes.

The original photograph was taken at DaSyueShan, Taichung County in Taiwan by John&Fish.

Alternate Love Birds

This alternate was created while searching through some old black and white photos I found. I looked at my art work and thought hmmm... I wonder. Sometimes its as simple as that.

Love Birds

My artistic style changes from time to time as you can see. Its simply because i'm an artist of course. I just cant paint one way and one way only. Here with a little change I present: My Lovebirds.

The idea for them came while spending time with my boyfriend Nick. He was sharing the series "Planet Earth" with me. An amazing series where a few more of my ideas spawned. While we were watching one of the discs on birds of all kinds I pulled out my sketchbook and started drawing. I realized I was drawing on pink paper and soon after a few different sketches I finally settled on this one to take to Batmankoff (my cintiq). I spent an entire day just working on these cute little lovers.
